Audi has released recently the first image of the Audi R15 TDI race car that will debut at the at Sebring opener on March 21st. The 12-hour race in Florida is a test for the Audi R15 TDI ahead of the Le Mans race.

The company did not release a lot of technical details of the new Audi R15 TDI, but says it did well in tests. The company also stated the Audi R15 TDI differs significantly from the R10 TDI which was undefeated at Le Mans.

Audi has upgraded its luxury class A6 model with the new 2009 A6 model. The A6 features a broad selection of engines: six gas and four diesels in a choice of 4, 6 or 8 cylinders which use direct fuel injection, TFSI and TDI technologies. The A6 performance varies based on the engine but begins with 170 HP with 2.0 TSI turbocharged engine and could go as high as 290 HP with 3.0 TFSI engine. With 3.0 TFSI, the A6 sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 5.9 seconds and has the top speed limited to 155 mph. Audi TT? Or is it really an Audi Speedster?! I dont know about you but this thing screams Porsche 356 Speedster to me. The chopped windows and A-Pillars as well as the speed humps behind the seats just about clinches it. Audi took their standard 265hp motor from the S3, and stuff it into the Clubsport after squeezing an extra 35 horses from it. Then they changed the front grill and air scoops for better air flow and added LED headlights a-la the R8. Finally they changed out the wheels with RS4 type spoke wheels, with stopping power coming from ceramic brakes. The final package looks clean and purposeful and dare I say, almost production ready? Audi is unveiling the Sportback concept show car at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. With systematic refinements to the brand’s characteristic design elements, the five-door model offers a glimpse at the Audi's future design.

The Audi Sportback has the world’s cleanest diesel technology. The six-cylinder 3.0-liter V6 TDI clean diesel is equipped with a system for the effective reduction of nitrogen oxides. The diesel engine development engineers at Audi have combined an entire package of innovative measures for this latest TDI generation.

The Audi Sportback concept is equipped with ceramic brakes on all four wheels for effective deceleration even under the most demanding conditions. On the front axle, 380-millimeter (14.96-inch) ceramic disks are fitted in combination with 21-inch wheels. The rear disks have a diameter of 356 millimeters (14.02 inches).

Audi revealed a revolution in the top class at the Detroit Auto Show 2008 - the first 12-cylinder diesel engine concept car based on the Audi R8. The 6 litre V12 TDI engine generate 500 Horsepower and 1,000 Newton-meters (737.56 lb-ft) of torque. According to Audi, the diesel-powered R8 goes 0 to 62.14 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.2 seconds while its top speed is well over 186.41 MPH (300 km/h). The peak torque is reached at only 1,750 rpm.

The A8, Audi's large luxury sedan, gets a number of minor cosmetic improvements--including a redesigned front end and LE taillights--and newly available high-tech features. The AudiA8 remains powered by a 350-horsepower, 4.2-liter V-8 on the standard A8 and extended-length A8 L, or a 450-hp W12 engine in the top-of-the-range A8 L W12. The high-performance S8, with its V-10 engine and more aggressive equipment, is covered in a separate review.

The A8's variable-ratio, variable-assist steering system has been recalibrated for 2008 to yield more road feel, and the air suspension has been retuned. V-8-powered models of the Audi A8 have plenty of power in either body length, but the 12-cylinder engine has a quiet whir and tremendous torque to provide effortless acceleration at almost any speed.

The Audi A8 has some of the best front seats in any vehicle at any price; they're large and not only firm enough to hold you in place on a twisty road but also superbly comfortable for long-haul driving.
